An Art of Reweaving Time
At Matin House, curation is an art of reweaving time. We practice a para-fictional approach, where history and imagination meet in quiet dialogue. Drawing from the layered narratives of the Middle East and its diasporas, we take a historical event, a resonant figure, a poetic text, or a cultural memory, and gently challenge its fixed form through contemporary art.
By intertwining documented pasts with carefully crafted fiction, we open new readings and create original languages of seeing. What emerges is a living narrative — one that does not claim to resolve, but rather invites deeper questioning about identity, belonging, memory, and the stories we choose to carry forward.
